General Terms
Before applying for our cooking classes, including specialized courses like Japanese cooking, please ensure you read through our Terms and Conditions. This policy applies to all participants.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 16 years old to make a reservation. Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who will also need to book their own place in the class. We reserve the right to tailor certain courses or events to specific target groups.
Class Attendance
- Facility Use: No pets allowed, and children must be under constant supervision. There is no parking available at our location; please use nearby paid parking facilities. Personal belongings are the responsibility of the attendees; Osaka Cooking Base is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
- During Classes: Only registered participants can attend the classes. Attendees must arrive 10 minutes before the class starts. Late arrivals over 30 minutes may result in missing the class without refund. Alcohol will not be served to minors or those who will be driving.
- Dress Code and Hygiene: Aprons must be worn during classes and removed when visiting the restroom. Long hair must be tied back, and personal items like rings and watches removed. Gloves must be worn if necessary due to long nails or cuts.
Dietary Requirements
All participants must inform us of any dietary requirements prior to the course. If not informed beforehand, we will not be able to accommodate these requests. This is essential for us to provide a safe and enjoyable cooking experience for everyone.
Conduct and Safety
Participants may be refused admission if suspected of being unwell with a communicable disease, engaging in inappropriate behavior, or under the influence of alcohol or any other substances. Without exception, participants will indemnify and hold Osaka Cooking Base and its employees harmless from all responsibility for any loss of personal property while at the school, or for any injuries or damages sustained in connection with or resulting directly or indirectly from your food preparation activities, except where such injuries or damages arise as a result of our negligence.
Liability and Emergencies
Osaka Cooking Base and its employees shall not be held liable for any injuries, illnesses, or damages that occur during the class. Participants engage in cooking activities at their own risk. Classes may be canceled due to unforeseeable events or emergencies. We are not responsible for emergencies not caused by our negligence.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made at least 1 week in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made 6 to 3 days before the class incur a 50% charge, and those made later are non-refundable. Changes in class dates or cancellations from our side will be communicated at least one day in advance unless due to sudden unavoidable circumstances.
Personal Information
Personal information provided to us will be used in accordance with our privacy policy, available on our website. Changes to personal details should be communicated to us promptly to ensure continued communication regarding class arrangements.
