Welcome to our bento cooking class in Osaka, where you’ll learn how to create a colorful and delicious Japanese lunchbox from scratch. This class offers a perfect mix of hands-on fun, cultural discovery, and practical skills that you can take home with you.

※All cooking classes include a roughly 30-minute local shop tour. We will meet at Osaka Tenmangu Shrine and guide you through the nearby local shops before we start cooking.
In this class, you’ll make a traditional “Wappa” style bento, featuring around five small dishes such as tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), crispy karaage (fried chicken), and fresh vegetables seasoned with Japanese flavors like sesame and soy. Each dish is easy to replicate, using ingredients that are widely available, so you can continue enjoying Japanese food back home.
Before the cooking begins, we’ll explore the local food scene through a short walking tour, introducing you to some of the essential ingredients and shops that define everyday life in Osaka.
Bento is more than just a lunch—it’s a reflection of Japanese values: balance, beauty, and care. In our class, you’ll experience that firsthand while connecting with others in a relaxed and friendly environment. Whether you’re a beginner or a cooking enthusiast, you’ll gain practical techniques and ideas to create meals that are both nourishing and visually appealing.
